Cassie was amazing! The food is exquisite! Literally had the best goat light soup all my life at this place! If you are West African and you visit Phoenix AZ, you definitely should eat here!

The food was so delicious! The Spinish stew and rice is flavorful and so good! The platains are sweet and pair well with the peanuts! Our server was so kind and explained the menu well and allowed us to try different items before ordering! Will be coming back and with friends!

I recently visited West Hut African Cuisine while in Phoenix. I ordered the Peanut Soup with Fufu, and it was honestly very good—flavorful, fresh, and definitely the best part of my meal.
I also ordered the Beef Suya with fried yam. Unfortunately, the beef was extremely hard, tough, and difficult to chew. When I politely brought it to the staff’s attention and asked if there were other options or if something could be done, the staff member became rude and irritated.
What really made the experience worse was being told that I was ‘the only person complaining,’ as if my concern didn’t matter because others hadn’t said anything. Instead of trying to understand my experience or offer a solution, I felt dismissed and unheard. I also asked to speak with a manager and was told the manager wasn’t available. In the end, I still had to pay for food I couldn’t eat.
The peanut soup was great, but the customer service left a very disappointing impression. I hope management takes customer concerns more seriously in the future.
That part about comparing you to other customers is worth mentioning because it’s not professional customer service.

Came in for lunch. Had a great experience. Loved the okra stew with fufu. It was my first time eating fufu. I liked it. I got some to go for a friend. The staff was extremely helpful in explaining the dishes and even offered samples. Overall, a memorable and enjoyable experience!

Waitress slow, didn't inform us there was no more Jollof rice, no ginger beer. They never come to check how's your food, the plantain were hard and not sweet. Market price Fish (grilled) was $30 for white fish. Inside the fish was mushy. Not a good experience, we don't suggest this place at all, over-priced. Very slow service. Had to take my plate inside the restaurant because the waitresses never came back put on the patio. Horrible experience, requested a take out box, was given inappropriate size, just thoughts into portion of left overs.
