I’ve been coming to Unity Braids for years, and every single visit exceeds my expectations. The quality of work is incredible, and I get more compliments on my hair than ever before. The braids are always flawless, the sectioning is immaculate, and the attention to detail is unmatched. The entire team is talented, professional, and welcoming. While everyone does amazing work, the owner is truly impressive and has built an incredible business and team. One piece of advice book in advance! They’re always in high demand and for good reason. If you’re looking for beautiful, high-quality braids and a great experience, I highly recommend Unity Braids. You really can’t go wrong with anyone on the team

I booked a wash, retwist, and style with Ms. Angle and clearly explained what I wanted before the appointment. She charged $150, and because her prices were affordable, I decided to give her a chance. I was even prepared to tip an extra $100 if my hair turned out the way I requested. Unfortunately, my locs were not washed thoroughly, my parts were sloppy, and the style I requested was not completed. The service felt rushed, and my hair did not look finished when I left. Just because someone is very quiet in your chair does not mean you should rush or take advantage of the situation. Please be careful and take your time doing your clients’ hair properly. I was very disappointed with the overall experience and will not be returning.

I’m not sure how all three of my experiences were off with other ratings so high. First time, I came in for bald braids which I didn’t expect to take long. The braider not only arrived late but failed to properly blowdry my hair. The appointment took over eight hours to finish. The second time, I decided to try knotless braids with a different braider and start at 8am for faster service. Again, it took way longer with us finishing at 9pm, no dipping of the ends, no trim, and ultimately me having to redo the whole hair that same night. My last straw was me booking a sew in with Marcus because I had heard great things. However, I was told the day before that my appointment would be with someone else. I get there and end up waiting an hour because somehow, the lady who supposed to do my hair was not informed. I will admit that process was quick when she finally arrived but boy, never again. My tracks started coming off on the way home and the styling was none existent. My scalp wasn’t oiled after the braid down and no heat protectant was used for my blowout. Honestly, all experiences had me more excited to leave the chair than to see how the hair turns out. How do you make customers pay a late fee but do nothing when the stylists do not keep to time? In addition, why are stylists not taking the necessary steps to ensure a style is long lasting? Overall 2/10 experience. Would definitely not recommend. Update: The owner of the shop reached out to see to see about fixing the hair. Luckily, Marcus was in town and I could come in as soon as possible. He made time for me and listened to my thoughts about what I wanted to change. All in all, we ended up doing a different style but I absolutely loved the result. The tracks were secure and the lace was cut to perfection in a way that framed my face. 10/10

I can’t say enough good things about this salon! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warmth and professionalism. The space is clean, comfortable, and has such a relaxing vibe. The braider Jae is truly an artist — patient, gentle, and incredibly skilled. She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, offered great suggestions, and executed the style flawlessly. The attention to detail in every braid is unmatched, and the finished look was neat, stylish, and long-lasting. What impressed me most was how careful she was with my natural hair, making sure it was protected while still giving me a beautiful style. I left feeling confident, refreshed, and already excited to come back.

I am very dissatisfied with my braids by Lexy aka Lexx__thestylist. Not only are my braids sloppy but they are sticky from all the product she put in my hair. None of my braids are the same length because she did not feed hair to the braid to make sure they all of came to my butt, even though she charged me an additional $80 for butt length. The pics were taken maybe 30 minutes after I got my hair done. Not only are the uneven in length but uneven in size. As you can see the the pic, the top is super thick and as she braided down they are lumpy and a hot mess. It looks like a child played in my head. I DO NOT recommend Lexy for braids or any other hairstyle.
