Sweet Magnolia Smokehouse

This was so SO delicious. First of all, the way the menu is written makes it easy to either get a lot of what you love or try a little of everything. The sides were incredible. The meat was tender and seasoned. The dessert??? Oh that peach cobbler cake had us wanting to fly back to Phoenix multiple times during this trip. The owner and staff are also such genuine folks. I highly recommend!!

Small indoor dining space, I would recommend ordering to go. The people who own the place/work there are super nice and I hope they succeed here. We got some different plates that included ribs, brisket, mac and cheese, coleslaw, fries, sweet potato side. The sweet potatoes were *very* sweet. The cornbread was really yummy. Everything was good except the brisket was dry and not juicy, needed lots of sauce to get it down. The ribs were nice and tender though. Their sauces are great too. I'll give it another go sometime and try a different meat.

Sweet Magnolia Smokehouse is such a great addition to our local food scene! From the moment you walk in, the staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive you can tell they truly care about the experience. The sides absolutely shine. The collard greens are flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the baked beans are rich, savory, and packed with that classic smokehouse goodness. Don’t skip dessert their unique peach cobble cake is a must-try and a standout twist on a Southern favorite. If you’re visiting for the first time, I highly recommend ordering the sampler so you can try a variety of meats and sides. It’s the best way to experience everything they do well. Definitely worth a visit!

So look, I am a bbq type chick and have tried MANY places here in AZ. Last night I had the pleasure of walking in to Sweet Magnolias. This food is perfectly cooked, flavored and seasoned to the t, the staff was super kind and checked on us often. We had a small family meal, with beans and Mac, brisket, Rib tips and the hot link. There was NOT a bad bite. I am super picky when it comes to beans, but let me tell you how I almost ate the whole container myself. Do yourself a favor, go visit this cute little place and get your grub on!! Worth every dollar we spent and have left overs for this morning. Yummmm!! Happy Eating!

Some of the most delicious side dishes and barbecue sauce I’ve ever had. The brisket and chicken were good too, but we’re just a little bit dry. I would most definitely come back, especially for the beans and potato salad and I would like to try the beef ribs. The owner is from Mississippi and he’s a super nice guy. It’s very clean in there and the decor is very cute. I highly recommend you give this place a try.
