Charlie Mae’s Southern Bistro

Absolutely horrible! First off I didn't get what I ordered. 2nd off they sold me a chicken thigh that was half raw inside I paid 19.50 for a large Mac and cheese and they gave me a small for 20 bucks. The lemonade tastes like sugar water and I just wasted 43.75 for nothing. I have pictures but I don't see the option to post them.

Pork ribs hard as heck. Not fall off the bone meat. Mac and cheese has a funny taste.. thank goodness they didn't give me a full bowl of Mac and cheese. The slaw did not have a great smell... so i didn't even attempt. Didn't even finish the plate . So sad... I have been wanting to try this place... Maybe the brick and mortar will be better.

Atmosphere and everything is clean, very good service. Food just seems like they just added salt and said it was soul food. Games was just blocks of yams chopped up with a little bit of sauce not even sweet. I do not think they know what soul food is. Mac and cheese was the best thing but processed cheese. Yams I will give it a 2 out of 10 fish I will give it a 2 out of 10 good crisp everything else was not right

This is not black peoples soul food. Tater sauce isn’t right. Not even sure I was given catfish. Catfish has a certain texture to it. This ain’t that. Macaroni and cheese just ain’t right. Peach cobbler ain’t right and I was to scared to touch the potato salad after everything else. Save yourself money. I just wasted $40 and still have to find something to eat.

This place is awful, the people who own it are terrible people, no explanation needed. The food is even worse. Almost chipped my tooth biting into that chicken!! I would rate -2 stars and that’s being generous lol, I would NOT eat here everrrr again EVEN if it was a free meal. The food is one thing, but the service of the unstable employees running it (pretty sure they own it) is the cherry on top. Also they have a million different kitchens so you may be ordering from them even when you don’t realize it but the food will tell you right away if you’re ever in question!

I personally love the staff, I’m not sure why there’s so many bad reviews for that. Every time I come, the woman in the back greets me, is kind and helpful… You can clearly see, it’s just her, so if she doesn’t get right to you it’s okay! There’s a kiosk that I probably spend way too much time on because there are so many options! Listen, the lemonade. GET IT. I know it’s $8 but trust me it’s worth it, I wont even tell you why! I love that it opens so early to feed my greedy belly! I stop in here every single time I’m in the area and will continue to support. I’ve tried a few different things and have my likes and dislikes. So far my only dislike is the smoke pork chop and that’s because I don’t care for smoke meats. Baby them chicken wangs are my fav. I need to ask her name because she makes me feel so welcomed EVERYTIME I come. Please be patient and stop in, it’s good! I would order on the kiosk vs a delivery app for price but for time the kiosk may be best for you. PICK UP ONLY! The dining area is closed!!

I dined in but it was packed as a take out! I had to ask for another waffle. It was burnt on both sides. I had to order on the kiosk so I didn’t even want to argue about a refund after tasting the chicken that was half cooked and the greens taste like they were washed in salt. This was my first time there. I won’t be eating here again. It was disgusting smh.

In my personal opinion/- Extremely rude staff! They are verbally abusing those delivery drivers, that don’t ´sit down’ when they get told to and threatening them with the police / ban from the property. That happened to our delivery driver. When we called the business up (that’s not actually a restaurant but a pure delivery hub, so they can do what they want and behave however they like and treat delivery drivers poorly because those depend on them.) so we called them and they hang up on us…. We received a soggy in 80% old fryfat soaked burger with plastic cheese. There was so much fat in there that you couldn’t taste anything else. Never tasted hate before…today I have. On Uber they get 3.5 stars- because people don’t encounter this attidude of Charlie maés southern bistro. If you have ordered with them help reduce that so they think about at least apologizing to our dear delivery driver! Also in our opinion the price is too high but your body and the rest of your day will pay an even higher price. My boyfriend has had diarreah since easters. This is a very subjective review and I don’t mean to harm the business or offend anybody. They couldn’t offend me by making me feeled poisoned either. If you’re still thinking about ordering at this place- please don’t use uber. Driver there yourself and see, hear and experience what we couldn’t believe! But make sure you sit down when you are told to or you will be arrested by the police!

Ordered greens, mac n cheese, fried okra, rib tips, and corn muffins. I would say greens was seasoned well with a little kick(spicy). One of the best greens I've had in AZ. Okra was good, too. I didn't care for the corn muffin because I don't eat like very sweet cornbread and that's my preference. Rib tip a lot of fat barely meat and mac n cheese it was cheesy but didn't taste the cheese. It was a little strange. I like to try different soul food places to support us. I would go back to this place for the greens. Location isn't in the best spot. Also sides were $5 each, I think price was a little high for the little amount you receive.
