I cane by yesterday and everything was top tier from the time I walked in. There is parking across the street and you can park there. I asked and they said it was ok. I kept seeing videos on Tik Tok about this place. Between the Roast and Lamb chops I couldn’t decide. I asked the young lady that took my order and she mentioned because this is my first time to get the roast. The young people that work there was so well behaved and professional! Shoutout to them! Also the young lady told me before placing my order that there would be a wait because they’re finishing up a catering. I love that and I appreciate her telling me. I waited patiently. FOOD WAS 100/10!!!!!! AMAZING!!! SHE DID NOT LIE!!! Definitely coming back for them lamb chops!

Absolutely amazing place! I had the lamb lollipops, mac and cheese, and green beans, everything was incredible. The lamb was cooked perfectly: tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The sides were just as delicious and comforting. This is definitely a must-go spot. The atmosphere feels like you’re coming home for a great meal. Can’t wait to come back!

I rushed here to leave a review for this place! I had such a great experience eating here on an early Sunday afternoon. I want to start my saying, prepare to wait for your food. Like 30-40 mins. But although the wait is long, it’s worth it! The food is amazing! Best soul food in Phoenix! The jerk salmon was so flavorful and juicy! The mac n yams?! To die for! The strawberry banana pudding is yummy as well. Keep up the good work Big Bacon! I will be back!

Went in on a Thursday at about 6:30pm. Surprised it wasn’t pack but our waiter did say it was a slow day so that was a plus! Intimate place inside but the environment was clean and comfortable esp with the AC running. They do have an outdoor seating area as well were the restrooms are, and again very clean! They also keep the outside area cool with water mist and shade. Our waiter was a nice young lady, very polite and professional. The wait time for our food was acceptable, literally came out in 10 minutes. I ordered the cat fish with Mac and yams 10/10 compared to any other soul fool place I’ve tried in Az. My friend had the lamb chops, green beans and mash potatoes. She didn’t know it came with white rice, but she didn’t have any complaints. They don’t serve alcohol but they don’t mind BYOB. They also played music that wasn’t extremely loud, we were able to hold conversations without yelling at each other while also vibing out to the music. Overall a 10/10 experience. Will return to this black owned establishment!
