Dr. Lashonda Carlton

This doctor was incredibly passive aggressive to my mother and was zero help to a very serious issue. After my mother tried explaining several times what was going on, she was shut down and mocked by Dr. Carlton. It was a very degrading and shameful conversation and people who treat their patients like this should not be allowed to work in this industry. I have never left a review in my life but this is still bothering me after a week now. It’s pretty basic to talk kind and listen, but obviously she thinks she’s much better than most. It’s shows and I will never recommend her to anyone.

Dr Lashonda Carlton was incredibly dismissive and rude. Not only was she a half hour late (which happens, I get that) but she did not even listen to what I was explaining... she talked over me and suggested standard solutions to a problem that I was not even having. She was not listening to what I was saying at all. She was rude, talked to me like I was stupid and she smirked when I tried to explain what she misunderstood. I will never go see her again! I was clearly just a number and not someone she was interested in helping. So I paid a high copay for a specialist and the only thing I found out was how much ibuprofen I could safely take. I could have googled that for free.

Alot of people may not appreciate her bluntness, but this woman is amazing! You don’t want a provider who is going to sugar coat things, you need one who is going to tell it like it is even if it’s not what you want to hear, especially when having a baby! I’m high risk with my 5th and last pregnancy and I usually in the past have seen multiple different providers, but this pregnancy when I got Dr. Carlton, I decided I wanted to see her only. She is very invested in each one of her patients. She’s not there to sugar coat your pregnancy and any issues you may have or chit chat, she is there to make sure any issues you may have are addressed and controlled. Her top priority is YOU and your baby. This is what you want in a provider. You will be taken care of with Dr Carlton! Shes caught things other providers blew off or missed and she’s targeted my issues during pregnancy head on and hard to make sure I’m as comfortable and happy during my pregnancy as possible. Hands down best OB ever!
